Im guessing using sealant/gasket maker would be pointless since it would probably just burn off?

You need to be more specific.
Where on the exhaust?
Yes liquid gasket is point less in all applications, you can use reinforced high heat rubber ones on the exhaust after the cat , but for sure not for the manifold.

You can get the exhaust gasket sealant from places like performance improvements, designed for use on turbo applications. Great for when you start tuning as exhaust leaks will mess with your afr readings. Wish i bought some when buddy at the store recomended it.Dang! You got shocks, pegs... Lucky! You ever take it off any sweet jumps?
