  • Gauge cluster mods?

Was wondering if it possible to change the gauges inside the stock gauge cluster? Essentially I am looking to replace my stock boost gauge and oil pressure gauge in the cluster with autometer ones... Is this even possible without messing up all the other gauges?

Sorry if this has been covered. I did a fast search and didn't find anything about this,...

Anything is possible the real question is how much work is going to be involved.

Which gauge do you have (color of the back plastic panel, ie electric or cable speed sensor) if your asking about R32 or are you asking for a R33 gauge ?

I would take the gauge apart and look if you need to cut into the circuit board first, and if you do which circuit would be implicated.

It all depend on the size of the aftermarket gauge, since the stock gauge just screw onto the back plastic part, witch usually has nothing really behind it, you might just have to cut the back panel and find a way to attach the aftermarket gauges.

I already seen it being done on other cars. Some looked great, a lot didn't, really depended on the cluster.

    Good luck

Its a blue background gauge cluster. Essentially I want to replace the top two gauges aka boost and oil pressure and put my own 52mm gauges in there. Its also a r32 gtst

Good to know I can possibly do something. I'll have to take mine apart to have a closer look.
