So I will be boosting my 97 240sx, KA24DE, pretty soon. I have a turbo manifold, T3, to use a factory rb turbo. I have both an rb20 and rb25 turbo. My question is why will the compressor outlet elbow from the rb20 turbo not fit the rb25? This would be the three bolt pipe from the turbo to the intercooler, two of the bolts are pretty long. I have an elbow from a T25/T28 sr turbo that will also fit the rb20 turbo but not the rb25. Just wondering what I should do. Also noticed the rb20 turbo has a nipple on the compressor housing for a line while the rb25 turbo does not. Any suggestions there as well? Thanks for the help.

Compressor cover elbow = bigger internal diameter on RB25DET turbo. You'll need to fit a RB25DET turbo elbow if use RB25DET turbo. Use RB20DET turbo if don't have the RB25DET turbo elbow.
For RB25DET turbo you can buy a steel weld on boss fitting (weld onto intake piping just after turbo) and screw in a brass 1/8? thread / 6mm ID?? (need to measure internal diameter of internal wastegate hose or OD of stock nipple on RB20DET turbo) ribbed nipple.Last edited by Skym; 12-18-2012, 05:19 PM.RESPONSE MONSTER
