I am trying to get my hands on an rb20 or 25 + 5spd complete swap for a 240z project I am working on now. I have done lots of searching country wide on kijiji, various vendor sites, forums (including this one).
I am wondering if anybody knows of a forum or website that has rated the various import drivetrain vendors? (Most of which seem to be in the Greater Toronto Area). There are plenty ranging from 1250-1800, and it's pretty hard to get an idea of what the seller is like, or what their reputation is. In the end I may be stuck with purchasing off of someone privately where I can at least discuss the history of the drivetrain as far as they know it. I'm looking for a decent/used condition setup basically.
Any info on this/peoples experiences would be awesome!
