Aluminium driveshaft ?

So I went to the local driveshaft shop and they told they were scared to make me one because they would need to use an adaptor female/male to fit it because of the 4wd ( on a gts, it wouldn't be a problem..) and buying a ',thedriveshaftshop'' aluminimum wouldn't resolve the problem, it would still be the weak link and I saw quite a few reviews about them not beeing balanced.

So they end up taking mine off and simply balancing it for 190$ish..

whats your thought ? Did I get burned ?

You don't need a carbon driveshaft lol

On another note, I have a new Driveshaftshop aluminum driveshaft for sale I'm not using anymore. Paid $980 shipped (including customs).

I want to buy one as well, I hesitate between the aluminium and the chromoly one.

I don't care about the price, I just wonder if the aluminium one will stand the drift abuse....

Does anyone know about it ?

I paid $950 landed but never used it from driveshaft shop not even a year ago. Good deal if you're just lookin for a reason to spend money. If you eat awesome results, spend elsewhere like brakes, handling or more power.

My aluminum one is for sale because its only rated at 1000hp.... Need MOAR!!

At this point, I'm trying to optimise my actual setup without going 2.8l or swapping turbos.. so I came to the conclusion, this driveshaft, along with the OS smaller gearset 1-3 would be the last 2 updates in my to-do list in order to optimise the response/acceleration of the car..

Intake, exhaust and smaller turbos (with higher boost levels) would be better than a $3000 gearbox and driveshaft. but if you're convinced, do it!!!

Let us know how it fits. We have ward they're fit isn't spot on (and 2 local people said they had toget them balanced) but maybe it was an isolated issue.
