  • gts-t subframe with gtr components

Hi i plan on doing a r34 build in the future and i was wondering if an r34 gts-t rear subframe can be fitted with a gtr vspec differential and with the gtr brakes, spindles, axles and A arms etc. with no heavy modifications? Please reply if you can help

No. Need to fit GTR differential that bolts in (subframe, diffhead, halfshaft's, hubs, etc), fit GTR rear shocks (with shocks valved, spring rates changed to suit rwd), custom main driveshaft to suit (single piece). The GTR diffhead doesn't fit into GTS-T subframe (mounting points on front of diffhead, etc).

Well what my plan is, is to do an rb26 awd swap. I plan on using gtr parts. So what your saying is that if I'm putting the diff and evrything in, i should get a gtr subframe to go with it?

Or forget all the heartaches/headaches, bs and labour costs and buy a gtr.... TADA!

Otherwise, deep inside, it'll always be a gts and people will know. Sheep in wolf's clothing

I just figure it is just cheaper to buy a $10,000 r34 gts and put the gtr drive train in than to buy a $40,000+gtr

Basically if I can find a r34 gtr for a good price I'll get if not than I'll resort to clone or something along those lines

pretty sure you can get a r34 GTX that has an RB25DE and AWD. everything is there just needs a RB26.. and should be cheaper then a GTT due to crap RB20 thats in it

here's one for 10g, probable get rb26 from a jdm shop for under 5g

Touché. Why not keep the 34 gtt and soup that up. It's lighter too

just posted a video on FB about the neo rb25. my neo has pretty much all bolts on as in the vid except turbo and a tune..

its half hour long but very interesting

Thanks it was interesting and helpful. I was curious, if I were to go ahead and swap the rb25 for therb 26 couldn't I keep it rwd if I wanted to?

Yes, GTR subframe bolts onto Silvia (240sx), Skylines, etc. The rear lower GTR shock mounts have U at the bottom and GTS is usually O. You can transplant the whole drivetrain from a crashed R34GTR if want a rwd GTR (cut off transfer case, etc). Don't need custom driveshaft if you do it that way (can use GTR propshaft, etc).
