  • tranny/clutch problem?? help r32 gtr

well i own a 1990 gtr r32 and the gears are hard to shift, i have to use alot of force to get them in.

    what i've noticed:
happens on all gear but its not constant. sometimes they're hard and sometimes they're easy.
seems to shift easier when the car is cold
does not grind ( almost never)
i have no idea if its oem clutch or not. the 'friction point' is very close to the floor, when i release the clutch about 1/2 inch the car moves.
something im not sure if normal: i push the clutch to the floor and keep it there, put in 1st and press on gas pedal. when it gets to hi rev, the car starts to move even if the clutch is fully pressed down.

any ideas why the gears are hard to shift??

    thanks

I would say try flush the tranny fluid and start from there put some redline heavy shockproof and look at the slave cylinder operation on the transmission housing while somebody push the clutch .... Look for leak too

Slave or master cylinder or the fluid for them. If it's not fully disengaging its going to be hard to shift while the clutch is still partially applied

          Having exact issue.
Found leaky master on mine. After bleeding a few times it would be fine then re occur. Pulled master and found small leak behind.
Replace master (and slave if it's unknown), bleed it properly and you should be good.
It's not a tranny issue, your low clutch point and not fully disengaging tells you that.
