I was thinking of remapping the stock ECU on my car and possible. I did some reading and its all mixed opinion, what are the pro's and con's of remapping the stock ecu. I am not planning of doing anything crazy on my car just light tuning

Stick with a plug in ecu like power fc or vipec. Nistune is good also. Spend a good coin now and save yourself headache with opening up stock ecu...which by the way no one really does. It's always either rb20 or vg30 ecu's that get molested plug In ecu now makes life of tuning a breeze for any bolt on you want to throw on later...my .2
