  • Power Steering Pump for R32 with HICAS

Anyone know if another car uses the same power steering pump? Like maybe the 300ZX with HICAS of the same-ish year? Thanks guys!

It might. The mounting bracket (length of power steering pump), pully (amount of grooves) is usually the only differences I have noticed between power steering pumps on a R32.

Oh ok, I thought the HICAS ones were a bit different than the rest. Guess I'll have to do some digging and see what I can find.

The HICAS powersteering pump is longer due to the pump assembly in the rear of the powersteering pump for the rear HICAS rack.

The mounting brackets for the powersteering pumps are designed to suit the length of the powersteering pump and just have to buy the correct mounting bracket and change the pully to suit the amount of grooves on the engine damper for the powersteering belt.

Some with R32 fit a R33 powersteering pump, R33 powersteering resouvoir when eliminating HICAS fully, as it had non HICAS powersteering pump, non HICAS powersteering rack. As far as I know, the rear HICAS rack is electric? driven on R33, not hydraulic like on a R32.
