    Depends on your province, just look it up.

    From what I can quickly remember, in Qc any lights are permitted as long as they dont blink.

    Still super rice though...

      I can't believe people aren't getting hammered more for wanting to put neon on their Skyline... Wasn't it built to be a race car???

        In BC it is illegal to be equipped with any lights that do not bear SAE/DOT unless they are covered at all times. It doesn't only say illegal to operate, it is illegal to be equipped, so you could get nailed in a parking lot as it meets the definition of a highway.

        Link from the MVAR;

        General lighting requirements
        4.02 (1) A vehicle on a highway must only be equipped with and use lamps, reflectors or other illuminating devices authorized by this Division or authorized in writing by the director.

        (2) A vehicle on a highway must be equipped with lamps equivalent to those provided by the original manufacturer in accordance with the requirements that applied under the Motor Vehicle Safety Act (Canada), or a predecessor to that Act, at the time of vehicle manufacture.

        (3) All lamps, lamp bulbs and reflectors required or permitted by this Division must comply with

        (a) the approved standards established by the Motor Vehicle Safety Act (Canada) and the applicable SAE standards,

        (b) the conditions of use described in this Division, and

        (c) the requirements of Table 1 of the Schedule to this Division.

        (4) The function of 2 or more lamps or reflectors may be combined if each function meets the following requirements:

        (a) no turn signal lamp may be combined optically with a stop lamp unless the stop lamp is extinguished when the turn signal is flashing;

        (b) a clearance lamp must not be combined optically with a tail-lamp or identification lamp.

        (5) The director may exempt vehicles or classes of vehicles from the requirements of this section.

          if the undercar neon lights are not visible it is legal... the light given off by them is ok, but being able to see the lights themselves is not...

          so if they are tucked away hidden from veiw it is considered they are covered...

          i know of a number of people who have underglow and NONE of them have ever gotten a ticket or been hassled by cops for it... what i said in 2008 is as true today as it was back then

          this law is generally for 4x4's with bush bar lights which must be covered at all times unless you are offroading and its dark out... lol... it doesnt mention anything about underglow... lol
          How many kids with A.D.D. does it take to screw in a light bulb?

            Come on dude, really?? It doesn't matter what car it's for, the money could be spent better anywhere else, even if it was 5 bucks.

                        F&F rice is neons, fart cans, crazy ass vynals, what ever else you see on the fast and furious cars that made everyone "pimp" their mom's escorts with lambo doors, altezza's, ect.
                        Neon was just another one of things.

                        Being able to see the neon tubes makes it look 10x shittier.

                            I contacted SGI about this a little while ago when I read this thread. They said it does not matter if you can see the tubes, as long as it meets their rules on the colors it doesnt matter. I also noticed it didnt say anything about that on their website. Not sure about other provinces though.

                            Really depends how its done for interior lighting, but "underglow" is gay IMO.
                            If you have seen the 2010 camaro interior at night time they have it along the door. Its dim enough you can't see it at day but it's really nice in the night time. Yet its not to bright it distracts you. It looks really nice...

                                I would watch them... I don't watch them for the story, more for lol's... and some of the cars.

                                Every car sounds like a civic with a spoon engine and the same bov though, but there are epic quotes that you will not get until you watch the movie. Watch at least the first one...
