im not canadian so I didnt realise there were two official languages
In the states english is the first language, spanish is the second.
but NOTHING gets printed in just spanish, because its not the first language of the country.
I still think the french/english thing is dumb.
French should be secondary, or heck even english.
iether way one should be, because it causes conflict/confusion/problems when ppl can choose which language they want to speak.

I disagree,
I think our French culture is a big part of what makes Canada. I know Western Canada is pretty far removed from this but I still wouldn't change it.

Back on topic:
I really hope that the 180 day study shows no change in banning the RHD cars. Be careful Quebecers...

as some one pointed out already EVERY CAR is in jeoprady, just because your car was already registered means NOTHING...

heres a example of why im saying this

cop pulls you over(reason or no reason doesnt matter!!!!) issues you a VI, you have 30days to have your car inspected... but now because RHD are banned, no inspection place will inspect your vehicle, regardless of when it was registered they wont do it because of the hassle they feel it will bring!!!

so now your car which was fine and dandy is now sitting your garage because you cant get it inspected anywhere...

it is only a matter of time before other provinces do this and take action against RHD's... like i siad already look at the ICBC study and what it did canada wide... even if that study is garbage and they retract it... the initial message got out and made RHD's look bad...

another thing you have to think about to is how many people this affects finiancially.... how many jdm dealerships(shady or not doesnt matter they are people with mouths to feed rent to pay) will have to close due to this... how many people have already lost thousands of dollars because of this....

and in these economic BS times its gonna be even harder...

i dont think you language whiners or " no more illegal r34's " seem to understand the enormity of this situation...

this new fight, is NOTHING compared to the previous 15yr/25yr fight... this is an outright BAN on RHD vehicles... this is huge so stop fussing about what language we are speaking and wake up and join the fight... go to your MLA and speak out.... there is an election coming up now is the time!!!!!!!

Here's a little Canadian history... the country was founded by French and English colonies, fought each other for so many years then finally made up. I think it's normal that both are official languages.

I just heard this a little while ago, What can i do for IVOAC? Im already on the forums, and this really stinks, if the smell spread over to the rest of Canada it will ruin what little freedoms for us there is!! This could quickly spread across the country. More and more people tell me the car is dangerous without any "facts" to back their statement. Get enough sheep to think this and laws can change without question. Looks like I'll have to spend some time and money on side markers and 3rd brake light should the heat come to Alberta.

She was in her FORD FOCUS.

wow, this really sucks! I live in BC and own a RHD but I am from quebec and might move back... wtf now? I might have to sell my car so I can move back when it happens... not fun at all... :hit_head:
