ticket for not having a rhd sticker on my skyline

i got pulled over for not having a sticker on my skyline saying it's a right hand drive car....rofl!!!! anyone herd of this before cause i haven't .i asked the cop where to get the sticker & how much it would be and i got a idon't know where to get it or how much from the cop ...but thay can give out ticket for not having a sticker saying it a rhd car lol....i was just wondering if anybody had this problem before im in toronto ont..

ya court ill see him in ,cause im not putting a rhd sticker on my skyline i dont like stickers of any kind on my car realy lol ....i think it was a reason to pull me over and cheque out the car lol,,,thay could havve just looked at her and let me go omg

section 63

63. Every vehicle that is equipped with a right hand drive shall, unless it is equipped with a mechanical or electrical signal device as described in subsection 142 (6), have prominently displayed on the rear thereof, in bold face letters of not less than 50 millimetres in height and of a colour which is in contrast to that of the vehicle, the words,

“RIGHT HAND DRIVE VEHICLE”.

section 142 (6)

Requirements for signalling device

(6) A mechanical or electrical signal device shall clearly indicate the intention to turn, shall be visible and understandable during day-time and night-time from the front and from the rear of the vehicle for a distance of 30 metres, and shall be self-illuminated when used at any time from one-half hour after sunset to one-half hour before sunrise. R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, s. 142 (6).

be sure to bring a copy of the section of the HTA that explains the requirements.

i keep a copy of that section in my glove compartment just incase that were to happen.

ya it's not a totally ******** story he was feeding you. the law is there and it's not like he made it up, mis-used yes. Just show the HTA in court and it's a no brainer.

just take the ticket and the HTA section go into the police station and they will drop it right there

Why is it that cops do not have to give the exact law when they give you a ticket? If they actually had to look up the law, or have somebody back at the station looking them up it would save on wasted time on all sides.

Because that would take time away from them getting to Timmies in time for the fresh donuts. And it would make them look stupid once thay found out that they had no reason to pull you over, can't have that now can we.

i keep a copy of that section of the HTA in my glovebox. a cop even pulled me over once and said "aren't you supposed to have a rhd sticker on the back of your car". i just replied "no, officer. that is only for vehicles without proper working turn signals so that the driver behind the car knows which person is driving if they make hand signals.". he then just says "OH, ok. i just learned something new. hahaha. go ahead. have a nice evening.". most officers dont know crap about rhd legislations and most of them will listen to you if you talk to them politely and sound like you know exactly what you're talking about.
