  • 45 days to get the vehicle inspection, what happens when you're over?

So I just bought a skyline the previous owner blew the motor on. That's not really a problem what is a problem is the car isn't imported into Canada yet. It's got papers for landing/customs/duty the charges for the A/C but the engine blew up before it made it to canadian tire for the vehicle inspection. So it's never been done. It's stamp on the customs paper says jun 18 2008.

Can the car still be inspected or am I screwed?

ps. I searched and didn't find anything. If I've missed something please post a link and I'll delete this thread and go into that one.

You bought that car.. NIce nice..

    Ya man no worries..

the car can sit at your house for years before it goes for inspection..

FYI never go to Crapy tire for the inspection they dont know what they are doing..

what do you need to know?

Your car is fine not getting inspected for however long you want.

and dont use Canadian Tire for inspections..

It might need to be driveable (motor working), some guys like to take the vehicle for a short drive to make sure that the thing doesn't pull to one side or any other funny business. Some don't, it's best to ask them first. If it showes up on a flatbed though they might get concerned....LOL.

            I am confused...

Are you selling a car not through customs yet? and just bought another? or is this convo about your skyline in the buysell section...?

Yeah, it's fine to take a while. My skyline was in the country for 2.5 years before I bought it and registered it, no hassles.
