dereg papers

I am trying to get the dereg papers for my car from japan. I have read that there are services you can hire to get them providing your chassis code. I found one place and haven't heard back from them yet. Anyone else have sources or suggestions. Looking for more alternatives. Thanks,

ha, I actually thought that was kinda reasonable. But yeah, looking for any and all other options, anyone know who else can do this?

not sure how your car got here from Japan without the papers..

My guess.. the chassis was imported some 10 years ago, sat in a warehouse for years... papers got shuffled around.. I bought the chassis, didn't ask for it, didn't seem like it would matter or was needed. 10 years later, I would like the dereg paper and previous owner does not have them. Seems like an easy paper to get lost or misplaced, just like a title can.
