Paperwork fire fire fire !!!!

This not a typical I want a skyline thread by American. I already have the skyline in states.
Unfortunatly for me I traded a built car for skyline then I had to immediately deploy to Afghanistan 3days later bewhir registering the car for the state which was not a problem at the time. I have a number of friends with these state registered for over 5yrs and some do it the other way. The problem came when my Florida house experienced a bad storm the power lines came down and roasted the house with all my important documents. The car was unharmed due to the fact I keep it at my brothers race sho( I found only
MY bill of sale in glovebox. What I need help with is getting all the paperwork I need for the car again (title and getting it translated) . The guy who I brought the car from is now stationed in Iraq so I can't have him request duplicates and everyone else wants to charge me an insane amount of money. I'm now stationed a few miles out of Canada and wondering is there anyway i could get paperwork thru Canada - I don't mind paying someone who knows how to do this but I don't plan on selling a kidney to do it - any help would be greatly appreciated

I was also told I could just go to Canada and do this myself - don't know if that's true or not

If you don't have the original paperwork then you are out of luck, no one in Canada can help you.
I think the only was is to ask the person you bought the car from, he might have his copies still.

if you already had it registered than ur fine just go get copies, if not call the dmv of whatever province he was in and tell them ur story they might be able to get u a copy of his paperwork
