Need help. Got a ticket for vehicle inspection in BC

I was pulled over by a cop recently and he gave me a vehicle inspection ticket. I went to Canadian Tire to get an idea of what things need to be done to my car and it turns out pretty much any kind of modification to the car is a fail.
Exhaust can't be bigger or louder than the stock,
having coilovers is no good,
having spacers is no good,
headlamps with no projector is no good,
must have day time lighting,
signal light is no good.
This information came from a guy who works at Canadian Tire and he did not seem like he was misinformed.

Has any BCer gone through a vehicle inspection? Would there be a more convenient and cheaper way to pass the VI test than changing all my **** to stock?

Help and opinions would be much appreciated.

why crappy tire man?
They are horrible.

exhaust has to work like oem with a cat and a muffler and has to exit in a fashion that does not allow fumes in through the car body (ie not exiting underneath by the tranny) noise level is subjective - look at a harley bike lol .
Car was designed with coilovers , i've yet to see a skyline with leaf springs !
I dont like spacers but they arn't illegal (unless they make the wheel stick out too far and cause interference with the body)
My wifes 64 manx dune buggy sure as hell doesnt have projector lights and its road legal
All cars have to have daylight running lights , i ripped my module out and just drive around with my regular lights on!

go take it somewhere else that can inspect a jdm car properly and knows the laws regarding them .

try emailing this Police car mod specialist <erase@yrp.ca>.its ontario laws but they could advise you for BC

I keep extra printouts in my car. there are alot of misinformed police officers and mechanics. Oh..and I am polite about it. I just give them copies.

Exhaust as long as you have a Cat and a Muffler your good.
Spacers dont matter
Coilovers dont matter. howover if the car is super low that matters
Headlights well everyone knows Skyline stock Lights arent DOT so they need to be swapped out for the inspection.
Daytime Running lights.. well thats a 5 minute mod
and i dont know what you mean signal light.. they are fine.
