  • DOT light question

Hello guys please dont attack me if this has been covered I am trying to piece together the process of buying my first skyline

I keep reading about people switching R32 headlight with accords for DOT inspection. If I buy a already registered car in Canada do I have to do this inspection or is it just emissions.
At this point although reading lots of posts I feel like im still lost sorry I want all information down before making final decision to buy this car
    Thanks

if the car has a valid safety on it then it shouldnt need the accord lights (in manitoba at least). if it needs to get saftied then you will need to swap out the lights

I brought my car in and registered it myself...safety and emissions at Canadian Tire and they never mentioned anything about DOT. They did talk about DRL's and I just shrugged and said its 15 years old, exempt from that. He didnt know any better and agreed

In ontario you don't need to switch the lights

All I did was get a safety and etest at Ajax Nissan and it was all gravy at the service ontario office
