    If it's called a 200sx in Europe that is for one and only one reason. It has an SR20.

    You know how it got out of hand? Someone like myself tried saying something that's fact but Mr. Know-it-all internet superstar decided he was right.

      EUROPEAN 200sx has the CA18det go look it up!! I dunno why you argue when you don't know the facts... And 240sx is KA24E ( single cam ) until 1992 or 3 not sure but it got the KA24DE ******* noobs!! but both of you are sooo smart!!!

      Motor size doesn't always apply because they would change 180sx in japan to 200sx when thye changed the motor to an SR20 :hit newb:

        Ok guys, here's a little clarification on the S-chassis information. I've included manufacture dates and motors which were available during those times (depending on the spec you would have ordered, engines differ). I know my s-chassis, this is the way it is. Basically, the 180SX/200SX differed very, very little, one was only called differently...the 200SX did in fact start out in the European market with a CA18DE or CA18DET engine.

        180SX - Japanese Spec
        180SX (1989 to 1990) - CA18DE(I4, 16V, 1.8L, DOHC)/CA18DET(I4, 1.8L, DOHC, TURBO)
        180SX (1991 to 1993) - SR20DE(I4, 16V, 2.0L, DOHC)/SR20DET(I4, 16V, 2.0L, DOHC, TURBO)
        180SX Kouki Type-X & Sil-Eighty (1998 Re-Introductions) - SR20DET (I4, 16V, 2.0L, DOHC, TURBO)

        200SX - European Spec
        200SX (1989 to 1990) - CA18DE(I4, 16V, 1.8L, DOHC)/CA18DET(I4, 1.8L, DOHC, TURBO)
        200SX (1991 to 1993) - SR20DE(I4, 16V, 2.0L, DOHC)/SR20DET(I4, 16V, 2.0L, DOHC, TURBO)
        *Type-X & Sil-Eighty models were never released/re-introduced into European market.

        240SX - American Spec
        240SX (S13 Zenki: 1989 to 1990) - KA24E(I4, 8V, 2.4L, SOHC)
        240SX (S13 Chuki: 1991 to 1994) - KA24DE(I4, 16V, 2.4L, DOHC)
        240SX (S14 Zenki: 1995 to 1996.5) - KA24DE(I4, 16V, 2.4L, DOHC)
        240SX (S14 Kouki: 1996.6 to 1998 ) - KA24DE(I4, 16V, 2.4L, DOHC)
