It sure seems like you hit the limiter for an instant in 2wd mode. I don't think you have anything to worry about, these cars aren't that shitty, it's not going to explode from touching the limiter.

Wow. Someone that knows what they're talking about. Yeah i'm not worried about blowing this one up haha. I that happened to the engine I pulled out. It had no rev limiter. 10 000 rpm later.. It started knocking hahaha. Won't make that mistake again.

This video is just for fun cuz I was bored. Just showing a stock gtr with a strong eengine that's all. I didn't say it's anything special.

that`s called wheel hop, and is not good for your diff or transmission. Another thing that is going to blow up soon if you keep treating it like that

GTR is faster in 2wd on 1/4 mile (E.T) and has a higher trap speed (roughly measured at 27 more hp to the ground at higher rpm in 2wd mode). That's when running drag tyres on the rear. But with such small tyres in videoclip above, extra hp is probably part of spinning the rears at higher rpms.

Also GTR suspension is setup for 4wd. Running in 2wd would make rear wheels wheelspin more, as there is less weight transfer to rear wheels with 4wd suspension setup (to help with front wheel traction) compared to 2wd suspension setup.

Couldn't your time online be better used to figure out how to keep an engine alive in the rx7 for more than a week, instead of telling everybody their going to wreck their ****?

And who the hell cares if it was on the rev limiter or not this vid was about the OP having FUN in his car

I have to agree with sidewayz here. Falcon you were having fun in your car without a proper tune when it popped right? Maybe you're just telling him from experience, but from the sound of it he's been down that road with his old engine too.

I'm surprised how many people are ragging on the OP. The vids (albeit shaky) were alright. He said he was bored and it will serve as a good reference for anyone to see what stock performs like. The debate of whether or not he hit his rev limiter is pointless; what difference does it make to you guys if he blows up his engine? Or his diff?

True that everyone has more free time... I know I do. Although I'm still driving mine. I get so antsy to work on my car in winter. Ugh.
