Sounds stroked to me, but that's just a speculation. The revs seem to sound just a little too high to be building on a stock head/bottom end.

But thanks for the video, it IS mean, and I am adding it to my favorites.

revs sound fine for a 20 . would be different if we were talking about a 26. if theres one thing the 20 does right is rev to 10 likes its nothing.
but then again im sure it is built.

It's still 2 litre (might be 0.5 to 1.0 over size forged pistons, as they rebuilt engine every 2500km or so due to running 1.7 bar / 25psi all of the time and foot to the floor driving).

I gather from what I have read, someone else might have been driving, not owner of the car.

This is the owner driving -

            See the difference.

I think the boost was upped for the second vid. The car pulls WAY harder. The first vid was like watching paint dry as the car was going through a gear (all except 1st). You can hear it as he goes over bumps in the track. Much more surging and bucking. Hauls ass.

                  I think that's a 351 V8 Ford Falcon in second videoclip.

I agree, boost level might have been dropped for the noice driver.

I like this videoclip below, as can see a V8 Torana in the hands of a good driver (Peter Brock), struggling to keep up. The sound is just amazing from race version of RB20DET -

Considering what tyres they where using back then, Peter Brock did a good job.

and what the rb26 with its huge stroke doesn't?

rb20's are not suited to rev to 10, the rb26 is due to the solid cam design.

That car has pretty brutal response. they all lose him in the corners and on the long stretches he catches up a bit lol.

The brutal response, sound from exhaust is what I like about that RB20DET. With more practice, novice driver should get better.

Rabbit, Mcfly, you'll probably find high reving import engines in Europe.

I think Mario's RB26 was capable of reving to 13,500rpm. But from memory, he did have to replace valves.
