What BOV is this?

Ok I really need to know what kind of BOV this is. I read that this is a greedy type R and iv read that the car doesnt even have a BOV and thats what is making that sound.

To me it sounds like it has a BOV when he changes gears and goes back on the gas. But when he keeps his foot off the gas it sounds like compresser surge. Does anyones car sound like this now? Does anyone know how to get the car to sound like that? Sorry this is kind of a useless thread but iv been searching forever to find out what causes this amazing sound

Will the car make this sound with only a single turbo set up? Or can it be done with a twin set up?

I'll agree with Francois on this one. I had a thread a while back with that supra vid and the Signal Auto R34 and that flutter is definitely compressor surge. Apparently it's not recommended with ceramic wheel turbos because the added pressure will eventually shatter the compressor wheel. Even with a high end turbo it still needs to be monitered but will hold up a lot longer than it's ceramic counterpart. That's the info that I received when I wanted that sexy flutter coming out of my engine. Hope that helps.

sounds like a t04z or gt35r compressor surge to me,

tial 50mm can sound like that too minus the surging that is definitely occuring.

my buddy's t88-34d r32 sounds like that sometimes too and he has no BOV

sounds to me like its simply pushing too much air and the BOV isnt venting all of it and its surging aswell

That is from running no BOV.... Look up turbo dose on youtube. You need a block off plate to block off the bov hole.

There is still a bit of compressor surge between shifts on that supra...

As for your exhaust note, get rid of resonator, cat and have big piping. 3.5"-4" even if its just cat-back or just your tail pipe. All those will help on getting a louder and deeper sound.
