Since my first track day everybody has suggested that I get a TSC. That will be one of the first things I order over the winter. Anyone know if theres a DIY for installing the TSC? Also an HICA's lock bar will be installed since it just leads to more under steer.

Here are some pics of the upper links. I was told they are adjustable and made by HKS. I wasnt sure of what part it was but I did a search and found a diagram (above) that said they were upper links.

Sorry about the pictures. Taken from my cell.

So are they called upper control arms or upper links? How do I adjust them? Can anyone tell me why my coilovers have one big lock and one small lock for adjusting the height? I always thought they were the same size.

    thanks a lot!

Yes I am currently dailying R compounds lol. The only reason is that I DESPERATELY needed new tires and I got an absolutely jaw dropping deal on them so I went for it. I wanted something to last till end of season but the tires had 90% tread left. Plus like I said, the price was waaaaaay to good to say no to.

Hey. Congrats on taking your car to the track! It's a joy that more Skyline owners really should explore.
You didn't mention what sort of instruction or schooling you had experienced before venturing onto the track. When neophytes ask me what is the best performance upgrade they can make to their car, I almost always say to them to improve the driver! Bar none, the best spent dollars relative to lap times are usually directed towards driver improvement. If you have not signed up for a high performance driving school, do it. They are worth their weight in gold and may even save you from bending your ride, or worse.
In my humble opinion, if you were not experiencing chunking on your street tires , then upgrading to DOT R compounds or slicks is misguided. Better to really learn to drive the car well and keep it balanced before moving up to a sticky tire. Those same sticky tires can, to a point, mask some driver faux pas' and make you feel like you are a way better driver than you actually are. That spin early on was probably the best thing that could have happened to you. Upgrade the car all you like, but do not neglect the driver
Good luck and keep us posted as to what your next event will be! Cheers!

+1 for tightening the nut behind the wheel! I've been tracking my GTR for four years and this summer was the best one yet. Top of my list for next year is suspension tuning (I've got some good bits installed, but need to get them dialed in) and driver training.
            Enjoy the ride!

Sorry for the late reply! I didnt know anyone else commented on the thread. I agree every skyline owner should experience the track at least once in there time owning it. As for prior instruction or schooling Iv, never had any High performance driving classes yet, That was something on my list for next season. Iv had drivers ed training but thats just basic driving. I watched a lot of Japanese, American, European racing videos and I always watch there feet and learn more about shifting/down shifting along with there racing line. Iv been told a lot that it doesn't matter about high horse power but about where to be on the track to get the best corner exit. I plan to continue racing my Skyline so getting in one of those courses would be key.

As for tires, They weren't chunking at all but I think that could be because I wasn't driving hard enough and using them to my full potential. But I totally agree with learning how to control your car on street tires and then upgrading when Im ready.

Thanks for all the info! I will let everyone know my next track day.

Haha Yeah I couldnt stop thinking about being on the track after that day was done. I hope to upgrade/refresh all the suspension components this winter, and have a good alignment dialed in also. Thanks for the comments!

I did CSCS and its $100 pre reg for lapping and $120 pre reg for time attack. You should really do it, you learn a lot about your car and experience what it can do!

just loosen the 2 collars via the allen head bolts, then spin the center section to lengthen or shorten the link

upper control arm or link, its the same, but most say arm (front = FUCA, rear RUCA)

Thanks for clearing that up man. One more question for negative camber does I spin left or right?
