how's the light output of the N1s with the HIDs vs projectors with HIDs?

btw i got the projectors with HIDs...big difference with the regular standard bulbs!

As you'd expect. Like most cars running non-projector housings with HID's theres a ton of dispersion in the light beam, hindering visibility and blinding oncoming drivers. But it's certainly better than non-hid N1 housings.

Projectors have a solid cut off, and the beam is focused well which for people who drive a lot at night, is a nice thing to have.. The N1's are for looks primarily, as they don't produce the same visibility..

Ahhh, i figured......only thing about the projectors is that the cutoff is pointed towards oncoming traffic being JDM specs. Retro is an option but maybe later on down the road.

The r32 projectors have absolutely **** light output unless you stuff HID's into them. The non projector (including n1) headlights put out way more light with halogen bulbs.

I like the projectors. N1's with HID will be like honda headlights w/ HID's = blind everyone.

My projector housing is blacked out and IMO looks better than cross-eyed N1's.

The weight differential is laughable (as in, grams)

I was told many years ago by the mechanic at Zele international that when people crashed their GT-R's, and needed new headlights to fix up the car, they would put on N1 lights because they cost less to buy than the projectors! Makes sense to me!

                        My cars:
                        1996 BCNR33 GT-R
                        1992 FD3S RX-7 Type-S

GTS-T lights (on-projector) have no recievers for the clips on a GTR grill, the N1s do. I have the N1s and they are OK i guess, they definately wiegh less than the projector lights, which is why they are N1 baby.

Soon I will be down to one, pass. side will have my new Carbon Intake plumbed into the new cold air box that I am going to make.

Oh there will be a light in there, just a little one. Just enough to keep the PoPo happy. There is no requirement for how much white light needs to be produced, just that you have to have some. A 2056 bulb is plenty.
