Damn, you actually used paint. You know you can buy a marker/pen for that at Canadian tire for about 10$ if I remember right.Originally posted by louis110 View PostYeah it took me just over an hour to paint it. I used Testor model paint and a fine paintbrush, sanded down the edges of the lettering once the paint was dry, and used a small flathead screwdriver to scrape off the excess/messy parts.
The paint actually started peeling off as soon as I started driving, so I suggest maybe a different paint type (Testor is enamel), or give it more drying time and put a layer of varnish over it. I really like the effect though, definitely makes the car stand out more.
Could of had it done in a couple of min, and it will last a little while. Not sure where you could get the red color.
I have to give it to you tho, the car looks really good with white letters.14 VW Jetta TDI

Thanks for the props guys.
I lowered it about 1.75" up front, and 1.25" in the rear. Numbers are kind of averaged because I had a lot of weight in the back when I took the stock measurements. It took a couple of tries to get the height I wanted. It's now sitting at 13.5" wheel arch to center of hub at all corners (stock was 15.5" in the front, 13.5" in the back with weight - so estimate 14.5ish" with no weight).Originally posted by bellis_GTR View PostWow man the car looks great. I gotta come to a meet sometime and check it out. How much did you lower it in F&R?
Funny story, I saw that marker at CT and my buddy wanted to buy it, but I made fun of him because I thought it was such a gimmick. Well, today I went to CT and I bought that exact same marker haha. Works awesome, I should've used it in the first place. It's super fast to apply and best of all it won't flake.Damn, you actually used paint.
