I went to napa picked up a spray can of epoxy primer and they mixed 2 cans of urathane paint.
Mine came out really smooth
They said they have used it on a engine

Try urethane paint... That's what my valve covers are did with and they are still fine
Well I want to paint my intakes, turbo pipes and intake mani gunmetal (like the car and the valve covers a navy blue. As all the other colours at canadian tire are not for me. and im to cheap to get them powder coated.
I painted my valve covers in spring to be gun metal but ended up as a olive grey colour...and i painted the intake and turbo pipes ripple black. but just want a change now. dont want to paint them n then have the paint not stick due to the heat.
