  • BNR32 Synapse BOV install

    -new version, no port c
-tension screw on bov left alone loose but tightened
-both ports A B connected to the two oem bov vacuum hoses

-perfect idle, no stalling since i installed the anti-stall kit
-runs a little rich during shifts with poppings
-installed test pipe to save my catalytic conv.

-does have a bit of compressor surge or weird noise at certain shifts...not comp sureg since its vented
-VENTS LOUD surprising ppl on sidewalk

-done, not the best bov but i hope this helps others and stop the curiousity about this bov or vent to atmo valves

When you screwed on the anti stall kit, how did you get it on without the whole inner pin spinning? I have the same BOV and was having problems screwing the anti stall kit on. The thread would catch and spin the inner pin.

very easy......use a long nose vise grip to hold the piston/inner thing ur talking bout...but use a cloth so u dont chip the piston and tightened the anti-stall hex bolt til its tight...hand tight with allen key

Check for airleaks in intake piping, airleaks in vacuum hoses to BOV. Any airleak makes BOV malfunction (depends on how bad airleak is will depend on how bad BOV malfunctions). At least that's what I have found out.

Sometimes rich problem on decel can be a lazy o2 sensor making ECU make engine stay rich longer or ECU tune problem that needs to be tweeked. Sometimes BOV has removed so much air that engine runs rich, hence why it's better to recirculate BOV. Airleak is another, so check that first.

^skym...i tired to look for air leaks but no luckwhen i had the bumper off..retightened all clamps and inspected for brittle hoses as well..

but anyway this bov does work as it should...
