my neighbor did this to his stock mazda rims and some of his emblems, looks good but it will peel off if you touch it the wrong way. it was a chore putting winter tires on with out peeling to much off.
plasti dip is the stuff you can buy from Canadian Tire or Home Depot. It's like a plastic paint that you can peel off when it's dry.
well. im not sure about those stores, but i got it from my buddy Pat @ placti dip Canada. i got 3 reagular size cans (15$ each)and did about 6 - 7 coats.
Google it, this stuff is awesome!!! i will do complete car sometime soon

Must be really hard to wash brake dust off though, no?
They look awesome man! I like that look. I'm gonna dip my whole car once the body work is done. I love the idea of spray and peel if you don't like it.
Heart rate 160, I'm goin 260, RB26 run me past you in a jiffy
yeah brake dust is a killer but if you rub any off a quick spray (when ther dry) and your good to go.
i wounder if you can spray over it with a real color and if you dont like it just peel it all off and start over.
i actually did my front lip, grill between headlights, mirrors, roof and pillars and rear spoiler.... and i like it. i would prefer flat black vinyl because the finish is more "perfect" but this stuff is easy kuz you can do around any shape. theirs also white, red, clear rainbow gold lol. its crazy. i used it and looks pretty cool.
if you were going to do a whole car, i dont recommend doing it with spray can... buy the kit that plugs to a compressor with the proper gun and lays the material much better.

yes, Patric @ plasti dip canada has all that stuff, so im set!
Working with paint every day, I have to admit I'm not a fan of this Plastidip look. The thought of anyone actually considering an entire plastidipped car is horrendous.
But that's just me...
I also heard rumor of Plastidip no longer being allowed into Canada due to environment regulations and disposal of this product? Anyone got any info on this?
just check this video out! i agree sounds like a bad idea doing a big surface, but after i saw this video i thought it was pretty sweet, and yes the video is super long, but just go through it quickly and i think you'll appreciate it too.

I used the cans and plastidipped the whole bottom and rims of my minivan to give it the zombie hunter look. I think it's best for just temporarily changing things up for fun. Between vinyl and plastidip you can completely change the way a car looks in a few hours and it's all reversible if you change you're mind later.

I use the van mostly to camp in so and I at 27 years old with no wife and kids I thought I'd make it stand out a bit more.
