Drove 3000kms to detail a skyline ..

It was now the turn of the Skyline GTR to get a detail. Honestly, the car being tracked and silver, it was not worth it to go anymore than a 1-step. Not to mention the super thin paint on the trunk.











Obviously the car has been repainted, but still look great. Not much orange peel so it was good news for the owner:



Initial condition:



So a member on here decided to give him a hand with the polish on his hood after getting it repainted. Beeing a silver car, hologram/buffer trail don’t show too much but the eyes of an expert like me can easily spot these defect:



Notice the haze surrounding the led light, that’s buffer trail.

And notice how clear the reflection is after my polish:



The wax of choice for this detail was Definitive wax Number One:

Actually, if I may... the daily driven car !

So this owner wanted his daily drive detailed but he didn’t had the budget for his week-end car. However, I must admit, I was so impress with his fiance’s pulled pork that... I hook him up with the other car LOL !! That was one amazing pulled pork hahaha! Anyways I just love Skyline GTR so it was a pleasure for me to hook him up. Not to mention the owner was really nice with me, he brought me to their weekly car meet, we had those tacos /subway-style which were new to me and I met other nice peoples so who cares if I gave him 3 hours of my times! Holla at you buddy!
Process:
2-step polish
Sans-zo sealant
Aquapel

Initial condition: Take a closer look at the reflection of the car




The tires turned brown, it was nasty stuff lol!

Moved the car inside to polish and tape the car:


After the 2-step polish:


After-pic , look at those deeper and wetter reflection. Not to mention the car felt a lot slicker to the touch:




He his washing the skyline so I don’t have to do it and can go straight to the polishing:

Thanks man! Funny how someone who drove 2 hours ( or 4 hrs back and forth) to visit me said the samething after I did his Audi A4. I'm no price-shopper but I get it done

It is a 7000 lb. hoist. You should go and get yourself one. You deserve it!

Very nice! Is its primary use for stacking cars or for work? And I think I do I will get another one day, being in university has a downside or two (no skylines)

Primarily for work. I was able to drive the Legacy undernieth but its been replaced by a truck which certainly won't fit. I don't think my wife's car would fit either. Came in very handy for when we're away or big snow storms.

Alex, you'll have to do the truck next time you grace us with your talents here in the east coast. I'm guessin the bill will be a little higher with that much metal and paint.
