Hey everyone need some opinions on tire air pressures for course lapping?

I am going up to shannonville tomorrow for the day and am not quite sure what tire pressures to use???

is there a way to calculate or just go??

    thanks

I find its best to experiment a bit at the track. Be mindful of how much the pressure changes when your tires are hot. Myself I usually run 35 or 32 psi (cold) depending on the weather conditions, track, ect. What tires are you running?

The race school I caught last spring called for 50 psi to be reduced by trial and error.

Measuring temperature profile across the tread immediately after running gives you a good picture of what part of the tire is working the hardest and indicates directionally an increase or decrease in pressure.

what kind of tires were you running there?

I know that with that much pressure the tire doesn't work as much in terms of torsion...

        and kinda slides more?!
