Does anyone have any input on what they go through most and what maybe to do to make autocross a little less expensive in the long run?
If you run r-comps and are at an event every weekend you will easily go through 2 sets in a season.1989 Skyline GTR

If you are ever at a VMSC auto slalom, you are welcome to come for a ride along. I have only done one at Saratoga, but because of their odd event times I probably won't go back. IRC hold events near Parksville, don't think I will go to those either.
I will be at Mission next weekend for a CACC Time Attack event and on August 27 & 28th I will be attending the CACC B.C. Auto Slalom Championships, hosted by VCMC in Pitt Meadows.1989 Skyline GTR

I told you it would be like crack, you just need more.
For me AutoX has really given me the opportunity to USE my car. I realize parts cost, but at the end of the day if something breaks while doing this type of racing, it was going to break anyway. The amount of strain put on the cars for autox should be easily handled by most sports cars. While a Skyline is not the best for this type of racing, it certainly allows you to develope as a driver, plus if we all become WSCC Members then we would be competing in a different class then the S2000's.
I love doing this and plan to make every race this year. The next step is "solo racing" at gimli.
