is it just me or is everyone afraid to race GTR's ... i seem to be the only one in Quebec with a respectable time for a GTR...i'm sure theres faster ones out there then mine...as a matter of fact i'm positive...what the hell are people buying GTR's to look cool or what??? to impress the ladies???...jesus so fat when i go to Napi i never see any other GTR's then mine loll only GTS-t's

try lapping instead of Drag racing :P

where the GTR will really shine!
there is actually a GTR lapping sometimes.

    but I do agree.

SO many skylines are now in mtl

and most of the owners don't take them to the track

Come the next NPclub drag meet justincredible, I'll try to give you a run for your money.

I have my inspection on Monday, so I might swing by ASE on my transit. Are you gonna be around, Klys? Would love to meet some Montreal GTRCers.

Man, I've had my GTR since last november, about damn time it got to see some track. (or even just roads for that matter...)

Isnt it true that the fastes lap time for a gtr is set on the first lap

Tracking my GTR or not does not make me more of a man. I bought a GTR because to me, it's the true Skyline.. I barely drive my car, but it still makes me happy.. if I had a big heated garage, It would stay there and I wouldn't dare put any miles on it.

                Me, montrealer.
My car below, on track. Nuff said.

Drag is not my thing. If what I was looking for was to brag about 1/4 times on the net, I'd have a Supra.

In all seriousness though, I missed the last Npclub drag meet by a few days, I'll try to get a time in before winter.

                * Edit * Great, freaking pic doesn't work. Just take my word for it.

not really, but I agree that most are like that in MTL.. I just don't track.. or believe in putting milage on a car

I guess most people just buy it so they can show their friends, and their friends can talk to other random gtr owners they see and tell them how their friend has a stock 500+ hp gtr.

Balls via word of mouth. Salty.

Haha, i realized this a long time ago. 90% of GTR owners are hardparkers and pussies. For gods sake, we buy these cars because they are performance cars and we love how they perform. It seems like most GTR and skyline owners in general just parade around in their cars, put loud bov's on them, and try to pick up chicks. Trailerqueens and un-tracked skylines are lame and you should all be ashamed of yourselves. If your gonna build a trailer queen or something to parade around in, why not buy something that looks better? Like an s2000 or 350z or something truly baller....oh ya, thats right, cause their all cheap too....

Its a blast lapping, although you'd probably want an oil cooler if you planned on higher than stock boost. R-comp tires would help too.

Yep, an oil cooler lowered my oil temps quite a bit for sure.

As far as R compounds, you can have just as much fun on good street tires that still have a 200 or so treadware rating. Id say R compounds should be reserved for if u get pretty serious about it. Otherwise its a big chunk of money u could just spend on more lapping days.

Most of us already have pretty good tires on their cars.

I don't want to mess up the current tires on my car... Goodyear Eagle F1's.
Id rather beat on a set of track wheels with better rubber and not having to worry about the ride home on worn tires.
Buying a set of semi-used slicks from a casc team and using them for 3-4 track days is cheaper than going out and buying new tires every 2nd track day.

Yeah, that works too, lol. I was thinking brand new R's for most people, especially when the rest of the car isnt up to par, but if u get a deal on them (i found some for cheap too ) then id say its worth it.
