Hey New Guy Here

Hi all I'm new here. Looking to buy a skyline when my current lease is up, current ride 2007 pontiac g5, past vehicles include 2004 mitsubishi diamante, 70 f100 custom (and many more that werent as nice)

why im here: Well i really like nissans, and some of my older buddies have had 240s and other cars ive worked on and learned with. Basically got my first experience getting a ride in a skyline yesterday.and loved it, i look into maybe saving my pennies and buying one next year ( i know insurance wil kill)

I'm a young guy but I'm straight up, not here to shoot my mouth off.:-) I'm here because I'd like to work in a tuner shop after my automotive college course is complete. why I'm hear? i started off a v8 head :drive: , started off with 88 olds cutlass supreme classic, then on to a 82 z28. started on japan cars with my first 91 civic hatch that we swapped in a B18 into and was fun as anything. i first got my interest into the skyline from the Grand Torismo game and thought wow this thing kick's @$$ and i started to do do research into the car, watching vids of it on the net and and downloading countless manuals and going over them hundreds of times. then i got to go for my first drive in one and well it sold me, i had to have one. since then i have been saving and selling every thing i own to get one this summer but every time i fined one it is gone before i can get to it. guess i came to maybe fined a good skyline in my price range, make some new friends that don't look at me and think i am crazy for wanting one.
look forward to being an avid member of this forum.

I'm here because ... I JUST ORDERED A SKYLINE!

1992 GTS-t

My buddy dah_hunter helped me out and I'm very grateful. I drove a GTS-t and pretty much made up my mind on the spot to take the offer!!

I've had a lot of older imports, but they were all mostly crap condition with rust of HIGH km...My favourite was my 240sx coupe. Light and nimble, and just fun to drive. The Skyline is just a MUCH better version of it and I'm beginning to go NUTS waiting for it. I hope everything works out will with the import and goes smoothly. I like to try and do most of the work on my cars, so I try and learn as much as I can about the cars. I love to drive, and have driven many different cars, getting to know each car individually with their quirks and what not. I won't be able to afford to race this year, but I'd love to do some eventually. Maybe once I grad from university in December I will be able to have a project car shortly there-after.

I look forward to getting to know you guys (and gals) and probably meeting quite a few of you at the different events and stuff!!

Why am I here: I've always favored Nissan cars, ever since I was a kid, I had hot wheels and the tracks and as I got older, I started liking real cars. When I was 16 I got my first car, a 1991 Honda Civic DX. Its a slow car with a D16 engine and I didn't like it so I wanted to find out how to make it faster and started learning about cars. I couldn't afford parts and with all the underbody rust and inner panel rust, I decided not to waste what little I had. Thus, I had to find a car which suited my needs. Having Preference to Nissan, I decided to look up alot of Nissan cars until I found one (Skyline R32 GTR) which had both attractive aesthetics and a legacy. Thus the Skyline. Eventually I found this site while looking for skylines for sale.
