  • Plan on GB: ProSport gauge

I plan on doing a Group-buy on ProSport gauges, but I would like to know if anyone can give me feedback about this brand ??

Affordable performance gauges. Boost, Oil pressure, Wideband Air fuel ratio AFR, Exhaust gas temp EGT, coolant temp, oil temp, volts, air pressure, dual intercooler temp, fuel level

They look very nice, just like the DEFI one without the controller! and located in USA so shipping is less complicated.

P.S: IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

These arent that great of a gauge... Look at the price. That should be a good indication...

Also google your face off and see the reviews on them.

If your cool with cheap looking / fail often / crap sensor / hard to read gauges then knock your socks off. But otherwise your better off sticking to well known / quality built Autometer but their choice of 60mm (2 5/8) gauges is limited or spend the big bucks for a Defi setup.

Greddy makes nice gauges for "decent" JDM price.

'08 HD FXSTB: Denim Black, V&H Big Rads, V&H Fuel Pak, K&N, HD Inverted Front End, C&C Seat

'78 HD 93" Shovelhead rigid, 4spd, 3" open primary, 250 rear tire, 40 rake. (in progress)

'90 GTR 2 tone 350z blue/black, Volk TE37s, Greddy intercooler and suction kit, Blitz BOV, Splitfire coils, Greddy gauges, HKS oil filter relo / oil cooler, Rear LSD, HKS hypermax II suspension, soon to have new turbos.

Okay, My point is that 200$ a gauge + duty+shipping isn't ''DECENT'' for me.
But i must admit that if greddy were selling them 100$ I would go Greddy because the look is sublime.

I'm driving a GTR yes, but only for daily-driving, i'm not building a 800HP monster and need 100% precision.

i think i spent less then $200 for my autometer gauges and got an oil temp, water temp, oil pressure and a boost gauge, then i spent another $250 and got myself a wideband. the wideband was just garnish as an EGT was what i really wanted, but already had the wideband sitting around.

i would go with a better known brand of gauges though, autometer tends to be more used because it is widely available and affordable compared to defi and greddy.
whats going to power my skyline come spring?

lol... quality and Autometer in the same sentence?

what is this site coming to? Autometer should NOT be in a Skyline.. save up and buy some quality gauges.

again... my $0.02 don't get offended.

I know the review on the net arent 100% positive for ProSport but A friend of mine have a rx7 jdm and it's him who told me about ProSport and said he had no problem with his 5 gauges..

Also if ProSport are +- 5% accurate and are 70$ and Greddy or DEFI are like 180$ but accurate, I think the 110$ saved worth the +- 5% accuracy.

Yea funny, I saw them yesterday, they retail for like 130$ so 40-50 more than ProSport but 70$ less than the big names.

Now my problem is that smoked lens seem to have bad comment when looking at your gauges on daytime.

From the review i saw on the net. some are perfectly accurate and some are up to 2 PSI not accurate and same for TEMP gauges ( Should be around +- 7% accurate). But some review were in 2006 and they did improve the ''installation kits'' since 2006.Most of the poeple were saying that the sensor or wire wasnt top quality and this could be the reason why the reading wasnt precise.

Right now i'm dealing something around 25-30% But euh..As of today, I don't even think there would be enought people interesting!

I could try to do ''something'' with STRI since they seem better know in the industry but it would depends on the price.
