this morning i bought a 36$ huge drill bit kit



so i went back to my trusty press drill

don't skip on the lub, lub that mofo to death !



the aftermath, huge ¾" holes



then buffed off the shavings and cleaned it



wow, actually got it to fit, and you can see the gap between the bracket and the subframe because the bracket is bent



so i put a washer in there to fill the gap, and thightened it all



FINALLY DONE



i'm quite pleased with my work, but not with the kit's quality at all

If there is anything wrong with mine I'm sure as hell not even gonna fit them, just straight up return them...

so i'm almost done putting the whole wheel assembly back together on the driver side,

and when put the arm where its supposed to go, theres a good gap... again



and since the tut on driftworks forum suggested to put the bolt from the inside, because you would have clearance issues with the damper, well thats what i did, but then when the damper is on, you can't take the bolt out

so i used the "undo" button, put it the other (right) way around and added a spare ½" washer to fill the gap

Wtf are you serious? Wy the fack would you cut the bushing? Yes it should have came with instructions but seriously mine bolted straight up no problem. I will post pics to prove it. After getting my bushings out it seriously might have taken me 15 minutes to put it together.

well, you can see on the pics that the bushing wasn't large enough

what did it say on your box?

mine said S13 kit

frankiman, i wonder if you got a chinese knockoff somehow?....

if not that... then how can i be explained that your the only one who recieves a messed up kit?

i doubt your car is all crooked and bent lol...


im concerned about the amount of "shimming" that was done to make it fit.... at high speeds, is that the kind of thing you really want keeping your rear wheels straight?

well if you read well, none of the issues are related to the car itself, none,
the bracket was clearly not welded properly,

and anyway, everything is tight as hell now, with some loctite, this thing will never budge

I recently picked up my total hicas eliminator kit....it has an s13 kit sticker on it as well. Also has the one piece bushings...did i recieve the right kit for r32 gts-t ?

my guess is all S13, Z32 and R32 kits are the same
