  • F/S My baby, 88 Silvia Convertible, Autech built. ***RARE***

This is a copy and paste from other threads I had made. Some things in the pix below have been changed, so keep note of that and try to look at the list for reference as I recently updated that. I got a ton of time and money in this car so please, if any, all negative comments are not welcome in this thread. The car is Located in Coquitlam, BC at the moment. I am planning on taking this car back to my house in Alberta to store it in the garage for (who knows how long) years maybe at the end of march. Figured I would toss it up to see if there was any interest in it here before she leaves. It is Alberta registered and would need a cat install and a tune to pass our air care.

    1988 Nissan Silvia Convertible
One of ONLY 604 built by Autech Japan.

Now remember that this is the ultra rare. Not a regular Silvia/180SX and nothing comparable to the 240SX vert. It is a totally different design. Look in the auctions and you will see what these cars are worth. I've owned this car since 2003. I've done all the work to it. Was a good learning curve to what I used to know and what I now know. Ive had a lot of fun with it but I just never use it anymore. Summer of 2009, someone slashed my new soft top I got the year before that. I sewed it up and it functions fine. This is one of the very first of the "JDM" cars to come to Canada at the beginning of what this market is today. This car normally comes with a CA18DET Auto trans. That was converted by my friend in Japan. For any info or history on the car just call me and I can tell you.

    Spec's:
-Painted in 2005. Me and friends did it back in gr. 12, shaved antenna.
-Engine bay painted gloss black, shaved holes, some tabs and mounting brackets removed and or modified. Hood latch removed. One of a kind job. Looks pretty good.

-SR20DET (From a auto 92 SR sil and matched the 5 sp from a non turbo sil)
    -REAL Greddy intake mani.
    -HKS top feed rail.
-Precision 680cc Injectors. Plenty for another turbo upgrade. individual resistors.
-Sard Fuel Pressure Regulator with gauge.
    -Walbro fuel pump.
-Apexi power FC w/ commander. L-jetro.
    -RB25 MAF
    -GT28RS Turbo
-Equal length ex mani. Ceramic coated (high temp army green color).
-Grex Oil Cooler/Relocation Kit. Thermostat built in.
-Aftermarket pully kit. Power steering and alt.
    -Apexi filter w/ custom intake.
    -Hybrid/e-bay intercooler.
    -T-bolt couplers.
    -Koyo rad.
    -Twin electric fans.
    -Fan temp auto relay.
    -T-bolt couplers on rad hoses.
-Custom Alum Hot Pipe with Greddy Type S BOV.
-RPS pressure plate with ACT clutch disk on a Nismo light weight flywheel.
    -2 way diff. Unknown brand.
    -S15 seats.
-Autometer gauges. water temp, oil temp, oil press, boost, o2 dancing gauge.
-Ign has push button start with brake relay trigger for theft.
    -2004 roadster sun visors.
    -Imola R steering wheel.
    -Nismo butt plug shift knob.
    -Eclipse CD player.
-180SX type X auto climate control.
    -uras clear signal lights.
-GTR style front grille painted gloss black.
    -R32 GTR front brakes.
    -R32 rear brakes.
    -R32 brake master cyl
    -5 lug conversion.
    -Stagia front spindals.
    -Tanabe front coilovers w/ plates.
    -Rear tien coilovers.
    -Aftermarket front T/C rods.
    -Front strut bar.
-Front HICAS sway bar w/ poly bushings and GTR sway bar in the rear.
    -Aftermarket stainless exhaust.
    -3" down pipe.
-17" Zelda 17x8 F 17X9 R or some wed sports in similar size. May have something else kicking around that would work to your preferance.
-Brand new HR2's on the zeldas.

ASKING $16000. I some how have approx $29000 invested at least. Was appraised at $23500 a few years back for insurance purposes (lots of other aftermarket parts have recently been added). There are a few things id like to wrap up before I sell it. I just did this engine conversion recently and want to weld up brackets for a couple things to make it all nice and sexy.

I will trade for something I could sell easily for the cars value. So let me know what you got. Trades plus cash on your end are also a possibility. I really need to pay off a few things Move to vanny and builds spread out all over the place tend to require cash. haha.

These are the only pic's I have. I've been through a few crashed hard drives in the time I've owned it.

Its on the road again if anyone want to see it.

I have a friend interested in it back in Alberta. So I might drive it that way in the next 4 months. Grab it while you still can and have the pleasure of owning something different.

          Yeah, thats a good idea.

I got a friend in Alberta that been drooling over it for the past 8 years and he might pick it up. But nothing is for sure till the deal is done. I'll get it up on 240son in the next couple days. Thanks

Im with matty...the interest you will find on SON240 will be absolutely rediculous. Only problem is, most of them are penny pinchers. No offense whatsoever to any members there, Im a member there too. But the general mentality is 'spray bombing and zipties'

lolo, seems to be the current trend these days. Cant sell a thing with out a 40% low ball and then another 15% after. lolz.

Cars are just hard to sell now, not like 2005 when I could sell 10 skylines in a week.

I doubt it will sell anyways. Its more vicariously.

2 more years I can get classic car insurance for cheap cheap. And it will also be 25 years old and I can export it to the US and my possible clientell just expanded vastly and could help get more money to the guy thats looking for one of these.

Anyways. I dont use this thing. Only had it out a couple times this year so far. If local just wants to see it, I can bring it to one of the next vancouver meets for anyone thats curious.

                  bump
