  • 1991 GTsT type-m Partout feeler Located in Edmonton AB

    Well my project has come to an end due to a stupid move on a buddies part. For the last 12 months i have been meticulously working on this car as a restoration project, and as it was coming to the restoration completion and i was ready to step into performance, I had a tire blow out. Well that not too bad, but as my buddy shows up with my spare and tools, he decides to use his tiny little jack on my frame halfway down the car, resulting in a nice 1 1/2" kink in the frame. I had originally bought the car to restore and do a light build, then sell it. I was not going to sell this car until it was to a point where i would keep it, and suffice to say i would NOT sell this car with a bent frame nor drive it with one.

    I'm starting this thread as a feeler to gauge interest in the main parts. I'll put up pictures of parts once i get the car back home and up on stands. As it stands right now EVERYTHING is up for grabs minus the rims.

    There are a few performance parts on the car, but it wasn't a main focus until the car was running well and looking mint. I was just getting to the paint and body work.

    Car is black with original paint.

    Whats been done:

    Motor/ Exhaust;
    - Rebuilt RB20DET at 100,000 kms (6X,XXX kms on since rebuild, only about 4000 kms put on with me as owner. I did a trip to BC in it.)
    - New NGK plugs (gapped to .028)
    - Turbosmart manual boost controller (bypassed except for track use, never saw a track while i owned it)
    - Tial aftermarket Blow-off valve
    - 3" Kakimoto Cat-back exhaust /w hollowed cat. (had custom turbo-back work done but only selling from the cat back)

    I would prefer to sell the motor and transmission together. Bu i kinda have a feeling that wouldn't happen in the end anyway. I will do a compression test on the motor before selling. Oil was just changed too... gaddam it fack!

    Transmission ( Rebuilt in April 2011);
    - New Pivot Ball
    - New rear main seal
    - New Exedy reinforced Clutch fork
    - New Exedy stage2 racing clutch
    - New slave cylinder
    - New release bearing

    Suspension/ Wheels;
    - Tein Super Street Adjustable Coilovers
    - 17" Work Racing Rims
    - Juran front and rear strut bars

    Interior Restoration/ Upgrades;
    - New dash
    - New centre consol trim
    - New Centre vent
    - Drivers side door panel replaced with GTR panel (no wrinkles in the interior window strip)
    - Passenger side door panel replaced with GTR panel (Little bit of wrinkles)
    - Momo Course 350mm Racing Wheel
    - Sparco Adapter Hub
    - Pioneer single din stereo.
    - All Stock Stereo Speakers replaced with new ones, 2-6x9 Sony Xplod's in the rear and new Pioneers in the doors.
    - AutoMeter Mechanical Boost Gauge
    - Ripped weather stripping around Drivers and Passengers windows restored.

    Exterior Restoration/ Upgrades;
    - New side view mirrors.
    - New Headlamps
    - New Turn signals
    - RACEONUSA wide body front fenders (vented, primer black still)
    - New GTR rear bumper
    - New outer window trim (the metal strips that clip on to the doors)
    - New rear wiper arm
    - New front steering rack

    General Maintenance:
    - Rad flushed
    - New oil filter
    - Engine flushed and oil Changed using MOTUL 10w30
    - Coil packs pulled, cleaned and resealed
    - New NGK copper core spark plugs (yes they're wearable) and re-gapped to .028
    - Rear Differential flushed and fluid changed using MOTUL lubricants.
    - Gearbox oil changed using MOTUL lubricants.
    - Rear tires replaced
    - All 4 coil-overs inspected and sealed properly (no leaks)
    - Motor checked for boost leaks
    - TPS sensor checked and readjusted from .45 to .49

    As i remember more i'll add more.

    There is no collision damage to this car except for a small dent on the rear passenger side which was there when i bought it.

    Some other parts people might be interested in.
    - Rear spats (pretty much mint)
    - OEM sideskirts (little bit of a crack on the drivers side one, passenger side is close to mint)
    - front bumper (seen better days, not cracked or broken though, quite a bit of rock chip on paint, definetley would need a paint job)
    - trunk /w GtS spoiler (mint)
    - rear window (5% tint, in mint shape)
    - front spoiler motors

    It's late and i'm tired and cranky about this. This is as far as i go for now till tomorrow or whenever i have the energy to list more parts.

    Can contact me via PM, e-mail (phacedown@hotmail.com) or text 1(780)340-6005 with any questions. I will reply as soon as i can. Sorry i have no pics up right now it's 1 am and i just got home from almost committing a homicide over this.

                    Hey guys sorry for the delay in update or response. As of this time there's still not enough interest shown to make it worth my while to start pulling the car apart. As the title says it's just a feeler at this point. The car is going in on Thursday to get the frame inspected and see if the damage is repairable. However if it is, I still will not be dropping the money to fix or replace the damage. this car was bought with the sole intention to restore and sell, and if I had any intention of keeping it then I would go through the effort of a big repair like this.

                    In response to a few posts and questions already:
                    - rims are not for sale, I intend on buying another skyline and I want to keep these rims for that.
                    - rear driver-side quarter panel will have to be cut off... This would be a pretty big effort for me to do and I don't even know where to start on a price with that.
                    - ignitor, coils, ECU and anything regarding the motor I'd prefer to sell as a whole with the motor, not individually.

                    There is the possibility at this point that, if the frame damage is repairable, I will try to sell the car as is for someone looking for a half finished project.

                    I hope you guys aren't disappointed at this reply. But I'm just trying to figure out the best route right now.

                      Everything is repairable. If your doors still line up and everything work properly hood trunk doors and no glass cracked then your frame is not serious. it will probably cost 600-1000 depending on the difficulty of repair. It will be possible though. I'm an autobody tech so email me pictures and I'll see how bad it really is. Tyrel_Loden@hotmail.com

                        At this point it's not about weather it's repairable or not. To me at least, I had a budget and a goal and at this point doing a repair on the frame shoots me over what I can spend on this car to make it a worth while turnover. At this point I know I won't make my money back as some of these parts were not cheap or easy to find, some came from Nissan Japan around the time the Tsunami happened as well. I'm hoping to try and come as close to even as possible. I'm just trying to feel around as to what's the best route to do that, a part out or sell it as a whole to someone willing to pick up a half done project.
