  • WTB: Oil cooler and filter relocation kit

    As the subject line says.

Personally, I wouldn't waste money on "name brand" kits like Greddy, Trust etc.

All you're paying for is a name.

What I would suggest, is that you go to your local tuner shop and ask them to piece one together for you.

All the kit is, is a few braided lines, a cooler, and two adaptor pieces.

I'm doing the same thing right now, and estimated cost is roughly $300-$400 instead of $1000+ for some of those name brands.

Adam at Feast can get me a Trust relocation kit only for just over $300. I haven't seen what the cooler would cost.

I am checking into my own homebrew version as you suggested.

I've got the Trust cooler and relocation kit on order from FEAST.

It's a good deal. 'Trust' me.

$75 new?! It's not a GReddy kit right?

Just FYI, we sell the GReddy kit for $259 new if anyone is interested.

No, it wasnt a greddy kit, same **** though. The greddy kits go for like 120 bucks on yahoo japan, you guys must be making some pretty good cash off those bad boys.

remember if you do your own custom kit that you include a thermostat or you can rish oil sludge buidup in the cooler plus having too cold of oil causes problems as well, keep that in mind, if you want to be cheap you must be wise about decisions. Why not get a kit designed for your car and setup?

Really? It's the same? Does it included sensor tap points for the oil temp and oil pressure sensors? Is the craftmanship identical?

And please, could you not provide false information on the cost of parts. There are so many myths and misinformation on the internet about cars and car parts, we'd like to keep it off GTRC as well.

If you actually lived in Japan you ABSOLUTELY COULD NOT get a GReddy Oil Filter Relocation Kit for $120.

At JDM Speed Shop there is no B.S. We sell parts as cheap as we can, thats all there is to it. We aren't interested in P.R. that fluffs up our image like other shops. Instead of spending my day telling you how good my parts are and borderline lying about them, I spend my time organizing deals to get parts cheaper.

                    Thanks
                    Daryl

Sorry, we sell the GReddy oil cooler and relocation kit for $820 shipped. This is the kit where the oil cooler mounts in front of the radiator, and the filter mounts by the right side strut.

                              Regards,
