you can have a fully built 26 with crank pulley and cams for 6k. Better than nur!
Well, I'd say if you have connection to the people who know how to build RBs, then go for a build. Otherwise, buy a Nur.

There were too many times I saw, on this forum, a built engine blew within the first 5000KM.

i do build my own. Anyone can do it. biggest problem is clearance on pump to crank drive. I sell crank collars with proper clearances and never had problems with them. Other then that, its a simple project if you have plasti gauge and a torque wrench. I got 5K into my engine. No deals from anywhere! Thats a rebuilt head, No cams. So 5K gets you a built engine if your willing to do the leg work.

but how many of those people properly broke in there engine before going balls to the walls...

for 10k you could build a better engine with brand new components

Then you mess around with fitting the tranny on (adapters or modify?), the deck is 30mm taller so you need to lower the mounts and modify the exhaust or the hood and anything else that needs to be modified.

For what this is worth, id say its worth the cost. Paying for a brand new, untampered with engine straight from Nissan is worth a chunk of that price in my opinion. Not only that, out of the box internally, its capable of 6-700bhp without too much stress, thanks to forged internals.

Hmm. I don't remember hearing they were forged rods/slugs.

This is beyond silly, the only reason to get a Nur motor is to say, "hey, I am all Nur'ed up Yo" especially at that price. Geeks will buy a Nur, real car guys will build their own motor that could make 50% more HP and take big fits of detination without pooping all over the road for FAR less than that.

Hell, you can get a RIPS RB30 that can pound out an even G-note of HP for that kind of money.

Its ok , he wanted $14k for it , when the US dollar no longer remains the global reserve currency , $10 US will be worth about $1 canadian then it'll be selling for around $1400 Can with the new exchange rate . I'd say thats a good deal
