I'll do it, if you agree to meet halfway. What kind of GT-R do you have? PM me.

If you can save half of what you need in a month or two why not just save for two to four months and pay for it all? You must make pretty good coin and shouldn't be borrowing for a car that would take 4 months to save for.

Keep in mind that a cheap GTR is just that. They are expensive to maintain and you don't wanna know how it costs to make some serious HP.

Just buy a GTS-T and trick yourself into thinking it's almost as awesome as a GTR.

That's all nice and stuff, but I have owned a GT-R before. I'm not looking for something cheap, although I am looking for something in okay condition, so that I can fiddle with it at my leisure.

I won't buy a GTS-t. Nothing against the cars, just not for me. As GT-R owners know only to well, once you've had a GT-R, it's really hard to downsize to a GTS-t.

importers will never do any financing for you, usually if u walk into a tiny dealership they say they offer financing but it is infact a sub lender or in house lender which contacts other smaller banks to see if they can finance you. As an importer to make 2 to 3K of you in a car, where you pay 200-300 a month it will take literally 7-8 years to pay off ...., not profitable if you ask me.

Sometimes, an importer is stuck with inventory and it is in their best interest to accept an installment term rather than incur inventory carrying costs. In addition to that, knowing that unsold cars (especially used ones) depreciate swiftly over time, if they can somehow secure a deal at a good price, PLUS interest, and the buyer is reliable, it makes good business sense to do financing for cars that would otherwise not be sold for months for whatever reason.

Time value of money suggests that a dollar earned today is worth $1.05 next year. However, if a seller is wise, he would accept $1.1 to be paid next year vs. getting a dollar today. Add to this benefit the cost savings of inventory carrying and you can make a good financing deal out of it. I wonder why people (sellers/importers) do not offer this kind of a deal here.

Maybe it is because the setup costs of such a system, along with a higher demand for cars to be bought on cash deter them from offering used car financing. Too much hassle, I suppose to pay the credit bureau for checks, getting the PPSA in place, etc..

If there is anyone who would finance a Skyline, I say go for it. It is always, always a better deal to buy somthing that depreciates in value, on installments. Consider it as the cost of the convenience for not having to pay it all upfront.

I agree with 996TT....if money is tight, a GTR is not the car to buy; unless of course you don't mind storing it for long periods at a time when it breaks down and costs you a couple grand.

He doesn't want a GTR any more, he put this up when he was young 5 months ago. Grown out of it.
