WTT: My Saturn Sky Redline for your GTR + cash

Doesn't anyone else feel he should be giving us the sky + cash for a GTR lmao.

I know my skyline is worth more than a new sky redline 20 minutes off the assembly line.
I only know because I was actually thinking of getting one and the one at the GM dealership was 12000 brand new 3 kms

Theres a company in ottawa i think called Tiger Japanese i bet they would trade you in a heartbeat Actually i'll trade for your sky + 10gs that way i can buy another skyline and could sell that oversized miata to buy more parts.

Oversized Miata would be a compliment. These cars do not drive like Miatas.

I'm not saying it's a bad car. I acctually like the look of the Sky. and I'm sure the turbo makes it go pretty good. I'm just saying it's worth 2-3x half of the cars on here. It's a pretty hard sell. I'm assuming you've had it up for sale for a few months and no ones buying it. It's a hard time to be selling a toy. Peepz is Poh these days lol

it drives better than a miata, faster, 50/50 weight distribution, and just under 3,000 pounds

unless youve actually driven a redline Sky, you cant inform me how it does not handle or perform well. i've got it tuned now for a 0-60 time of around or slightly under 5 seconds. and with some nice sport springs and stock bilstein performance shocks, has hardly any body roll

and more facts, 67% of its parts are american. and yes i know Opel used the american sky platform, but keep in mind the Sky was based off of the Vauxhall VX lightning concept car, which was european. I know its domestic, but I make myself feel better by calling it european

and a solstice GXP may be 20k, but they are also cheaper and shittier than a Sky right off the bat, with less standard features. and whoever says they saw a brand new Sky for 12k, it probably wasnt the redline version. it was probably a bare bones non-turbo. My 2008 Sky was $39,990 plus taxes brand new

and to those haters, dont hate. this was just a simple ad. no need to flame it please. regardless of how or where I sell it, a Skyline GTR will be my next car and I look forward to being part of this forum

Have you driven a Miata? The Miata is legendary for being very communicative and very in-touch with the road. It's a real driver's car, regardless of the image it carries. Handling is very good and sharp. Gearbox is smooth, steering is accurate and the roadfeel is unparalleled. I don't mean to offend, but I've heard the testimony of several people who've driven GXP's/Redlines, and they seem to agree that the shifter is mushy and unwieldy. The handling is not quite as sharp as that of the Miata's.

The GXP and the Redline are essentially the same thing. It's just badge engineering. Only the fascias are different, the drivetrains are the same. I will give GM credit on the engine though, the FI Ecotec 4 banger is a good engine.

I hate to say it, but these Kappa's are depreciating quite quickly. Kind of unfortunate these cars have been discontinued, and Saturn killed off completely.

Anyway, good luck with selling the car.
