  • wtb: trunk lock and key

    need a more reliable way to get into trunk, sometimes my cable doesn't work for some reason, so i need to rip the interior out and pop it from inside, lol

    I have a lock cyl but no key... Not sure if it can be re keyd or not... Either way free if you want it

      New cylinder and key can be supplied from Nissan. Kit cost about 5,850 JPY + Postage

        my trunk release doesn't work at all. you should investigate it then post up a DIY lol

          if the cable wont work anymore is because it is stretch . and need of a new one.
          it is a pain in the ass to replace . Driver seat needs to remove to get into the opener mechanism . then rear seats and backrest needs to remove also.

            Or the tab on the trunk latch is pushed down... I had to bend mine so it would stop falling down when the trunk was closed...

                u dont actually have to pull the seats out of the car to change the cable, i did it before and just tied a wire to it, pulled the cable through from teh back, tied new cable to the wire and pulled it back though, the lock is easy to remove, just pull out the clip that holds it on and it comes right out, i ended up bringing it to a key place here, and they charged me 30 bucks to make my ignition key work in the trunk i just dropped off the key and the tumbler and they did the rest
