I hope this sums it up for you.
"Screamer pipe is the external wastegate exhaust pipe that legally should be joined back into the exhaust before the cat. However to be a proper "screamer pipe" it does not join into the exhaust, it dumps straight out into the atmosphere creating a noise similar to a Jet at full noise when it starts to take off. Very loud, very cool, very illegal, very annoying after the first week."Double track drift, yo.

I have this on my car. LOUD as HELL! Also to design some exhaust will leak through the divider into the dump pipe so idle is a lot louder. Sounds slightly farty. But once you hit boost and make heads turn a block away that doesnt matter :P People say they always know when i drive by (im a spirited driver) as they can hear my car clear as day inside. Take to a professional exhaust shop to put on however as you will probably run into trouble with the old flange bolts. I had to get a couple drilled out. Otherwise they are sweet :P Make sure you have loud music if you plan on highway travel!91 Skyline GTS-4 RB20DET

How bigs your exhaust and muffler?
Just a heads up, as of early 2011 the dB level have been reduced to 90dB and also a noise pollution bylaw allowing them to ticket for excessive noise without using an audio level meter. This basically means WOT may be cop bait.
(1) A motor vehicle propelled by an internal combustion engine
must have an exhaust muffler that cools and expels the exhaust gases
from the engine without excessive noise and without producing
flames or sparks.
(2) A person shall not drive or operate a motor vehicle propelled by
an internal combustion engine that has no muffler or if part of the
muffler is missing.
(3) A person shall not drive or operate a motor vehicle propelled by
an internal combustion engine if the exhaust outlet of the muffler has
been opened or widened.
(4) A person shall not drive or operate a motor vehicle propelled by
an internal combustion engine if a device is attached to the exhaust
system or the muffler that increases the noise made by the expulsion
of gases from the engine or allows a flame to be ignited from the
exhaust system.Double track drift, yo.
