, I never had a chance to look at it yet, might be just a wire,anybody know if these cars have a fusible link in the main pos starter wire? My dad seems to think that's what it is lol

If it was a main fusible link you wouldn't be getting any power at all. Is the starter clicking? Try putting a long screwdriver on it and bang it with a hammer as someone tried to start it. If it starts then its the starter that needs to be replaced/rebuilt.
