3 - 4 year wait ????????

I was just at a calgary dealership the other day asking about my chances of getting an R35 and when I should put a down payment, and the sales manager tells me it will be about a 3 to 4 year wait..... WTF? So I'm supposed to hand over 20 grand to this motherfuc*er while they hold on to it and I get nothing for years?? I also heard the words "non-refundable". How can this be possible if they are made every year?
Did anyone else get this when they asked?

The UK started taking orders last month I believe, and something like 700 online orders came in within 48 hours before you could place a deposit at a dealership.
with some saying they wont take ownership until 2010


Nissan can only produce so many a month, as they are almost entirely hand made.

Meaning, if you did not place a deposit "early".......then there is a long list of people ahead of you.

This car is going to be BIG, and it seems like everyone wants one..


I wish you luck on getting one without an absurdly long wait.

speaking to my neighbour, hes the parts manager at Oakville Nissan, he says that they are getting 27 GTRs over 3 years... the first shipment slotted to be here in June is already spoken for... (thats 8 gone soo far) also there is no leasing option for the GTR, buy it outright or finance thats it...

but so far the the most that one person has paid for a GTR at oakville nissan is $150 000, he will also be the first to get there car...(wonder why )

i also asked about the the V spec... my neighbour replyed with a simple smile.. and said its goin to happen, but it will be a least 2 years before we here anything about it hitting canadas shores :hit_head:


so yes if your only going to spend the 82K you gotta wait in line. like everyone else, but if you are willing to spend more they can fast track, to get you your car faster..
