  • 2012 GTR - - - 0-60 in 2.9 seconds

Pretty crazy stuff. Nissan claimed its 0-60 at 3.0 seconds but Road and Track clocked it at 2.9.

Pretty elite company in this club. The 2013 GTR will have 570 horse so it should be a hair quicker.

watched the vid this morning. i actually expected the gtr to perform slightly better than it did. (slightly...) edmunds ran some tests like this months ago as well. word on the street now is the new gtr will likely be around 570hp

IIRC Nissan got a 2.889 second 0-60 time for the DBA GTR (MY2012)

Perhaps just a rumor but a lot of members on an Australian GTR forum were talking about a 6-speed gearbox coming to the R35 GTR... anyone else hear this?

Friend of mine is getting a 2012 model. He's letting me take it for a rip, pretty excited.

The 2013 (MY2012 in Japan) ended up being 545 hp, from a revised air intake duct. Initially people were throwing around higher numbers, but it didn't quite pan out. Should be similar performance to the 2012.

What's interesting though is that RHD cars (not LHD) will have an asymmetric suspension set up to factor in the weight of the driver. That's kind of neat.

The new launch control 5 for tyhe 2013 is something else. I have a custom LC4 on my car that revs to 4800 RPM (up from my stock 2200 RPM) - and I love the way it releases without bouncing me off the line (as LC1 used to do to much detriment for transmissions everywhere)...My Cobb also has generic LC5 - which has a different release - but at 4100 RPMs. So far I'm sticking with my LC4...
