My first 1/2 mile race resulted in alot of fun - some toasted brakes (no one can say I didn't stay in it long enough) and some new understanding about the R1K platform (and my car in particular).
This is all on a full weight car, 20" rims with Toyo R888's.
Here's the video on pump;
There was very little traction as the runway was very dusty and I did not use launch control on my race settings because of that.
I only managed a 4.2 60-130 on my race fuel settings (I have had a 4.7 on my pump settings). According to Scott the runway was on an incline (you can actually see it in the video).
I'm not too disappointed as my 0-60 was 4.18 and my 0-100 was 6.44 for that 60-130 run of 4.2 (my best 0-60 and 0-100 on a treated track is 2.4 and 4.8 respectively on pump according to my Vbox - average of 2.8 and 5.2 - again on pump).
Pump Fuel 1/2 mile 170.95 MPH. 1 KM 288 KM/hr (~180 MPH).
Race Fuel 1/2 mile 183.49 MPH. 1 KM (911 Metres actually) 189.02 MPH (~303 KM/HR).
So not too shabby.
My best 1/4 mile runs were;
10.44 at 143 MPH on pump (about .60 a second off and 3-4 MPH slower than the track).
10.71 (Lol) at 152 MPH on race fuel (no launch control or traction until after 100 MPH or so).
So it will be neat to see what I can do on a prepped track (even MPH wise as my tires will likely not hold).
If I can manage 155-157 MPH on 20" rims - that would be very cool.
My brakes are toast - but they needed changing after all of my racing anyway...
