2009 and 2010 were rated conservatively-read: understated at 485, there were very few 2011 due to production disturbance caused by the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. The cars that made it here were either leftover 2010 or early production 2012, whichis why you get the funny numbers.
Even at 485, they were known to put out over 500, so haggle hard and you're golden

Also previous versions had a bearing problem on back of engine (I think was solved on 2012 GTR) that many have encountered when boosting engine up and using car for competition or track use (use bearing from 2012 GTR to solve problem).
With engine hp, not all GTR engines will have same amount of hp. It can vary due to wastegate actuator psi is higher or lower, etc. But the amount of hp it varies by between engines is not much compared to turbo engines they have built in the past.
I think what might lead to some confusion is that the JDM 2011 is our USDM 2012, so it's 485 hp for USDM 2009-2011 (JDM 2008-2010), and 530 hp for 2012 USDM (JDM 2011), 545 hp for 2013 USDM (JDM 2012).
Sometimes when you look up stats for the 2011 GTR, they might quote you the JDM numbers, when what you're after (I'm assuming) is the USDM numbers. Hence the 523 ps vs 485 ps.
There was also a chassis name change from CBA to DBA from 2012 onwards to reflect the tweaks done to the platform (chassis/suspension, intake, engine tuning, etc).
