UFC Tonight: Lesnar or Couture ?

My money is on Lesnar......

The first TRUE heavy weight to fight in the UFC and what we needed all along - A MONSTER (takes me back to Pride watching days)......

Anyways, what are your thoughts ?

Lesnars got the size and youth, but coture has the experience. I say the only way Lesner wins is by knock out. My moneys on coture, but I think it could go either way.

couture can win this fight, but it wont be easy, yes he has fought large guys before, but none of them as athletic as lesnar...

lesnar is nearly a full package when it comes to MMA, the only skill set his is lacking is jiu-jitsu, which he can make up for with power and his high skill in wrestling(NCAA not just WWE)

lesnar is FAST for a guy that walks around at 290 and cuts 25lbs for a fight... hes a beast...i dont think couture is gonna be able to weather the storm that is lesnar

Please.....History for the most part, says different.

Size is/was and always WILL BE a factor - THAT and the fact that Lesnar is and always was a real athlete who just wanted to cash in for a short stint as a 'Performer'.

It couldn't have played out any better - he is for real. Very nice win.

Tim Sylvia does NOT count, in terms of size matters....LOL.....that guy is worthless.

Fedor is the ONLY exception to the rule, where size matters.

It's competition, and there is more to it then just brawling... people don't realize that it actually does require skill.

As for the fight, if it went past the second, Lesnar definitely wouldn't have won. Also, Florian has improved immensely...he'll take that title.

I HATE lesner haha!! hes not a fighter..he SUCKS!!! hes just a big brute, and that does not make you a fighter...couture dominated him on the fence and was tireing him out. If it went to the 3rd round lesner would of had nothing left, he was already breathing heavily starting the 2nd round. All it will take to beat lesner is the same as fighting Rampage, PROTECT YOUR FACE! he caught randy in the temple and finished him off, BIG DEAL. that does not mean you are the better fighter....UGHH it makes me mad haha.

Just my 2cents. really wasnt fair to allow lesner fight for the belt. He didnt even deserve the right to fight couture. Just because hes a ******* tank and has some fame behind his name, he was allowed a shot at the belt.

is he a good or great fighter? hell no, but he is the first "true" heavy weight in the ufc, while he may seem somewhat boring, you have to remember that he isa young buck and still learning lots...

in 2-3 yrs lesnar will have learned all he needs to learn to be a totally dominant force...

if couture was the better fighter he would have won, and that doesnt mean couture isnt a good fighter, he was and still is the natural, but its time he stepped down...

i disagree with you saying if couture was a better fighter he would of won.....how can you even think that. ANYONE can knock out anyone. dont matter if your a fighter or not, just gotta get lucky and hit the right spot....that in no way makes lesner a fighter. everything he has done has been becuase of his size. he was a good wrestler and that was IT! hell he even took a stab and football....look how far that got him.

Basicly im just trying to get a across that he shouldnt get a title shot till he moved up the ranks like everyone else. Now if he fought Gonzaga, Kongo,Nogueira , heck even Mir and won those matches...by allllll means have a shot at the belt. i just dont think it was fair to let someone with 18!!!!!minutes of ring time have a go a Couture.

IMO if he was able to beat Couture, with only 18 minutes of ring experience, that's an even greater feat to accomplish. How is he not the better fighter??? He beat Couture, props to him for even wanting to still fight in the UFC at 45.
