That's is greate skills there, to drift such a small and light car is hard. The wheel base is very short so it has very high tendency to spin out. Props to the guy and his car.

And about " I'am a drifter" comment, I am totally fine with that. His drifting techniuqe (sp) is very good, and car is setup properly, he can back up his comment. And why, when some little japanese dudes with big car says "I'm a drifter" we all cool with that, and when big white guy with small car says the same thing, you all say that it's lame? I don't get it.

I actually kind of diff it but. If you take a close look at the grill and the little air intake holes which look like eyes kind of. It really reminds me of something that would be in the movie cars. The eyes look Asian! Sweeet

i think its mostly cuz he said it multiple times in a bragging sort of way. no matter what race the person is, if they are cocky about their skills, they dont get respect.

I heard somewhere that the Miata is the number one selling sports car in North America (or was). However the source was not totally credible and I would not be surprised if it was ********. It's a sad thought though really.

They look gay either way, however there's a 5.0L swap kit for it (www.monstermiata.com). Imagine the look on someones face when they're 3 or 4 car lengths behind a Miata only a couple hundred meters off the line. From what I remember the weight distribution on that swap is actually pretty close to 50-50, but again I could be totally out to lunch.

It's well engineered, it's light, and it's a great platform for tracking, autocross, and doesn't it even have it's own racing series?

If you don't like the look of it.... change it... no one is going to stop you.

The simple fact that so many guys dislike the miata tells me the following two things:

1) You aren't comfortable with you sexual orientation
2) You care to much about what everyone else thinks

The pros far outweigh the cons of this car.

Plus, chicks dig it more then your skylines... especially if it's making 500hp and change...

I like the Miatas, my neighbour has one that he races at Suzuka, full race built, it's pretty nice. Great cars on the track, well balanced, albeit a little on the slow side.

Hey, if my BB dies I have no problem picking up my gf's pink flip phone to make a phone call; even at the fireworks at English bay walking through a crowd of thousands of people. And if my gf rocked a Miata I would undoubtedly drive it when it was gorgeous outside and I wanted to feel the wind through my hair....

But if I would never personally own one because I don't like the looks of it, I MUST be uncomfortable with my sexual orientation.
