Well since it's done now... I may as well say. I sell motorcycles at a Vancouver Ducati/BMW dealer. I am moving to the one other BMW dealer in the Vancouver area.

It's not necessarily a career, but it's not a a dead end job either.

The only reason I was concerned about the issue, was because they invested time/money into me for training which I only used for 3 months and now the other place will be benefiting from my certs. I've been there since January.

The last job I quit I went to my boss, tossed my ID, I f*****g quit, turned around and left

didn't care enough for that POS company... never even had them on my resumé.

They took it surprisingly well. Unfortunately they want me to stay for two weeks which sucks because I want to start the new job like... now, but I want to stay on good terms so I'll stick it out.
Good on you, that's what I did when I left my old job to go to another shop. No matter how good your old job or bad, always try to be professional about it, that way you end your tenure on a high note with your employers/employees. And who know's maybe one day, you might find yourself crossing paths with some of the people you worked with and they will think highly of you instead of animosity. Rule #1, always look out for yourself. Your employers will understand that and if they can't give you what you want out of your job, you find another one that can. You made the decision based on what made sense to you.

Wow, do all BMW dealers sell bikes now? A lot of the dealers out here are BMW/Mini dealers, and I do a bit of transporting in my spare time. I love it. Also, its glad you have the option of the closer one, cause if they were owned by the same guy, I'd assume you'd be SOL, or maybe they'd let you switch...idk.

congrats on the smooth transition and good luck at the new dealer.

              wow only bikes eh...thats awesome.

The dealer im at a lot, BMW Durham (Ajax, ON, half hour east of Toronto), is 2 floors with one off to the side and in the middle, like this.

              ___________

              . . . . . . . . . ._____________ (pretend the dots are non-existant)

              ___________

Top floor houses New BMWs, service, everything of that sort. Middle is the Mini dealer, and bottom is BMW used sales/BMW motorcycles. by far the nicest dealer I've ever been to.
